My son loves homemade applesauce. Since being on SB I have not made any. Tonight I made a batch using Splenda and it was great.

5 crisp apples, peeled and cubed
1/4 c. water +/- in bottom of pot
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. Splenda
1-2 TBSP cinnamon(to taste, optional)
Cook covered until apples are tender, stirring occasionally. Mash with a potato masher.

I will double this the next time I make it as it went very quickly.

Using this same idea, I make baked apples.

Susan,

You could substitute sugar-free maple syrup for the corn syrup.
