Fat Free Yogurt

I have some FF plain yogurt in my fridge and I don't know what to do with it. I don't like yogurt and I bought it for a recipe that for the life of me I can't find. I'd love to use it in a dessert or main course meal, but I can't seem to find any recipes that call for it.

Any ideas? What do you use your FF Yogurt in? I don't like the taste of yogurt so whatever I use it in, it should be somewhat disguised!

Well, from Cathy I got the idea to put peanut butter in the yogurt - sound wierd but it's very good.

Lately I've been having this yogurt dish for breakfast on the weekend:

1 cup fat free yogurt
1 tbsp or tsp and a 1/2 of peanut butter
A little vanilla extract
1 packet splenda
1/3 cup Kashi Go Lean or Barbara's GrainShop Cereal
Strawberries or 1/2 banana

I love it and it's very satisfying. But . . .I recommended this to my trainer at the gym (who also doesn't like yogurt) and she said it still tasted too much like yogurt to her.

I HATE ALL YOGURT BUT!

I LOVE PB Yogurt. Like Fran, I use Plain FF Yogurt and put in the vanilla and splenda. I haven't tried the Kashi or fruit yet, but eat PB Yogurt every day!

For more of a dessert, I also add about 1 Tsp. of baking cocoa for more of a PB Cup taste.

Try it, as I said, I hate yogurt but am totally ADDICTED to this.

Otherwise, I know some people mix plain yogurt with mayonnaise in their chicken salad. Find a recipe for Tandoori chicken which coats chicken with a yogurt and curry mix. I don't have a recipe but am sure you can find one on the net if you are interested.

Good luck,

I'm not sure what phase you're in, but if its 2 or 3 you could make smoothies. CL-Cathy had posted her "recipe" and I think CL-Maggie just put that post in one of her replies in the chit chat section recently. (I'd put the link, but I don't know how... sorry) The smoothies are awesome and very filling.

HTH!

You can use plain yogurt in place of sour cream.

Hi,

Wow- thanks for the responses! I am definately trying the PB/yogurt thing. I'll try to find a chicken yogurt recipe as well. I love tzaziki (sp?) so, I might try that soon too.

Thanks!
