using Uncle Sam's cereal as breading for "fried" chicken or the like? Just curious to see if someone else has tried before I check it out. Seems like it might work like cornflakes or maybe I am just weird!

Thanks for any feedback.

Hi Lisa,

I think it's a great idea.

Exactly. I am torn about whether to throw in some walnuts too to add to the cruch. I have enjoyed nuts in place of breading. Let me know if you try it. I will do the same!! Maybe on pork chops because they are cheap!

Oh my gosh, this is SUCH a good idea! I bet it would work great. Like you said, people use cornflakes for this type of thing all the time, so why not? My DH made fried shrimp one time with crushed up tortilla chips (this was pre-SBD!) and it was delicious.

Let us know if you try it. I might give it a whirl myself, but not sure if it will fit into my menu for the week. SBD-friendly cereal might also be good filler for things like salmon patties or meatloaf, too.

Thanks for the inspiration!

Leslie
