These were a huge hit with my kids. They had theirs on hamburger buns. I had mine on top of spaghetti squash.

- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 large clove garlic, put through press or chopped fine
- 8 sandwich buns, split and toasted (Whole wheat)
- pickles, mustard, ketchup, relish, tomato slices, onion slices, or other condiments and toppers
PREPARATION:
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with garlic powder and black pepper until beef is cooked through. Drain off excess fat and transfer beef to a 3 1/2 to 5-quart crockpot. Thanks for another great recipe Cathy!
Karen :)
P.S. I made the frozen chicken with balsamic salad dressing smothered with broccoli last night. DH and I couldn't believe how yummy it was!
Karen, How old are your kids?
My 4 year old loves Uncle John's chili...

Karen,
I'm so glad these were a hit at your house too.
My girls are 16 and 11. They are both pretty good eaters but, ironically, they rarely like the same foods! It turned out that 11yo DD loved the crockpot cheeseburger, 16yo DD ate it but wasn't crazy for it. Both liked the smothered chicken (sans broccoli - it was brownish from the balsamic vinegar - I should try white balsamic vinegar next time)!
Karen :)
I was thinking of adding some cooked Whole Wheat elbow noodles to this, right at the end, and having Cheeseburger Macaroni.
Has anyone tried this?? I'll be doing this for tomorrow night's dinner and will be sure to let you know how it is.

Michele,
I made this last week and it was delicious. I think adding whole wheat elbow noodles would be REALLY good!!
Let us know how it turns out!
Karen :)
HELP! I am making these right now for the first time - I don't know what I did wrong, but they are NOT turning out right! They have been int eh crockpot on low for only about 2 hrs so far, but the Velveeta "seperated" and is all curdled and grainy looking? It looks like little bits of cheese floating in oil w/grnd beef in it! Not too appetizing! Is there anything I can do to save it? What could I have done wrong?
