Tomato Soup!!! Our family loves tomato soup but it's full of sugar!! We are supposed to keep it below 3 sugars right??
Anyway, my husband is a great cook so I told him I would try to get recipes for SB friendly spaghetti sauce and tomato soup.

Here's a recent thread with lots of soup ideas.
My spaghetti sauce:
start with about 2 T olive oil, add 3 cloves garlic and 1 onion chopped. Cook til onion is translucent (don't let garlic brown) Add 1/2 cup wine (red or white is fine, whatever you have around) and bring to a boil. Let it reduce by about half (until a little syrupy) Add two 14 oz cans tomatoes, one small can tomato paste and 1 or 2 T dried Italian Seasoning (or you could add fresh herbs, but I can't grow them/get them in my area) I then cook it about an hour on a low simmer. You can also add browned ground beef or browned ground turkey before you simmer it and that adds a lot of flavor.
I make double or triple batches and freeze it in tupperware containers. To thaw I run the container under warm water to loosen the sauce then plop it out into a sauce pan on low heat, cover, and let it thaw.
MUCH better than jarred!

I am no help on the tomato soup. Here is my spaghetti sauce recipe. It is very chunky. I don't measure when I cook so hopefully the spices are balanced. Feel free to change them to taste. This sauce is actually the tomato base for my lasagne.
Spaghetti Sauce
1 14 1/2 oz can diced low sodium tomatos, including liquid
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 medium onion, diced
4-6 cloves garlic, chopped fine
1-1 1/2 tsp basil
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp parsley
S & P to taste
Olive oil for sauteeing, about 2 T
1. Sautee onion and garlic in oil until onion is clear. Add tomatoes w/liquid, tomato sauce, tomato paste and spices. Simmer on low for 20 minutes.
Edited to add: I usually add ground beef browned, seasoned with garlic powder, salt & Pepper and SBD approved turkey sausage.
