Please share your reviews about any of the "new" South Beach Diet approved Kraft foods!
We'd all like to know what you think.

I tried the garlic herb chicken with green beans almondine - did not like it. The chicken was tasteless and rubbery, but the beans were good. Frankly, if Dr. A. and SBD was going to sell out in the usual corporate way, I wish they would have gone with Lean Cuisine. Their meals are tastier and less expensive.
I'm also very disappointed that there is an SBD meal replacement bar - I know that wouldn't fill me up at all - and can't be as satisfying as much as a full meal.
I don't like the Atkins diet but at least Dr. Atkins started his own company, and his foods follow the Atkins diet to a T. I saw the nutritionist's answer - it looks like less fiber is now OK, and I don't think she answered the bacon question. I guess when money is involved, anything is OK.
I've had success with SBD - I may try some of the other Kraft foods (only when they're on sale), but I'll stick to the regular way of eating. But, I will note the ingredients/nutrition on other convenience foods (lean cuisine, Amy's Organic) now that they're supposedly OK - and if they look SBD friendly to me, I may have them once in awhile. From my experience with my first Kraft meal, I'd rather stick to what tastes good.
Very disappointed in the taste, and the sell out of SBD - Dr. Agaston has made a lot of money off the book - I don't think he had to give up principals for more money (yes, I know it's a business like any other business, but I still don't like what SBD did).

Its interesting so many people have commented on the price - in my area, they are the same price (or less) than other brands - Lean Cuisine and WW frozen meals run about $3.29-$3.49, Healthy Choice, Marie Calendars, Life Choice, etc. are like $3.79. The SBD meals are regular $3.49 here and have been on sale since they came out at $3.29. Sure you can buy a "budget" frozen meal for like $1.50 - but I don't know who would eat those!
The meal bars are $1.99 here, same price as Power Bars, Cliff Bars, Zone bars, Atkins barst, Slimfast bars (maybe there is a variance of .20 cents one way or the other with some, but they are all very close).
I don't remember the price on the cereal bars, but I do remember it was comparable to Nutri-grain bars.
The refrigerated wraps are $2.50 here, and I would compare them to a Lunchables product - which ranges from $2.00-$3.00. So again, very comparable.
Now I'm not a huge fan of these products, don't get me wrong - but the one thing I DIDN'T think was bad was the price! Maybe other products are much cheaper in other areas? I'm in CA and of course EVERYTHING is more expensive here, so maybe I am just used to it!
