What if I drain the oil from natural PB?

Hi everyone!
What if I drain the oil from natural PB? How much will that effect the caloric content? I am sure it will make the PB very dry and unmanageable but I can deal with that since I enjoy my pb from a spoon with a 1.5L bottle of water in the other hand :)
I ALWAYS overdo it on pb, its the one indulgence I allow myself on some days, I'm wondering how I can make it a little better without feeling deprived.
Thanks :)

You can certainly drain the oil from the pb.

Thanks Cathy!
I really appreciate your fast response! You're always so helpful. I'm really excited because I'm about to actually get the natural PB for the first time, when I started SB in january we only had tons of the regular kind in my house, and since my parents pay for the groceries I couldnt justify letting it go to waste, but now it's almost gone. I am sure I will like the natural kind better too.

Thanks again for your help!

A trick I use to get the oil stirred in is to store the jar upside down in the cupboard until I'm ready to use it and before sticking it in the fridge.

"... store the jar upside down in the cupboard until I'm ready to use it ..."

I did this too! But since I discovered freshly ground peanut butter, it's all I ever use now. It tastes so much better - just like peanuts, nothing else. And, it doesn't separate. You just pop it in the fridge and it stays solid. So much easier to handle than the jarred stuff!

I think I need to switch from Smucker's to the freshly ground.
