Question about near East couscous
| Fri, 04-01-2005 - 1:11pm |
Despite having been on South Beach for 10 months, I only just made the lemon chicken recipe from the book, which calls specifically for near East roasted garlic herb couscous. What I'm wondering is how is this SB friendly? I don't think the couscous that comes with the box is whole wheat, although I may be wrong on that. I guess I could use the spice packet and subsitute whole wheat couscous, which I wouldn't really mind doing, but the recipe doesn't say to do that, and I hate to buy the product and throw away the couscous that comes with it. I'm looking for someone to tell me it's okay to eat the couscous that comes with the box, since that's what the recipe calls for.

Here are some responses from the nutritionist regarding couscous:
Couscous is a wheat product.
