and Man is it good!!!!! We've been BAD BAD BAD so we're trying to be good good good and made some menus etc.... and going back to ph1. BLECH! LOL
Was going through here and found the Wendy's chili knock-off recipe and thought I"d try it! LOVE IT! and talk about filling adn LEFT OVERS! LOL anyway, thought I'd give my review! And gotta love the crock pot! LOL ruby
WENDY'S CHILI RECIPE
2 pounds ground beef, extra lean
29 ounces tomato sauce
29 ounces kidney beans, canned
29 ounces pinto beans, canned
1 cup onion - diced
1/2 cup diced green chiles
1/2 cup celery - diced
3 each tomatoes - chopped (or canned diced tomatoes)
2 teaspoons cumin
3 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups water
Brown the meat and drain off the fat. Add all ingredients to a slow cooker and cook for 2 to 4 hours.
This can also be done on the stovetop as well.
