I love spaghetti squash, I eat it almost every day, it's such a great base for any veggie (or egg) dish!
Cooking it is really time consuming, and as a law student time is my most precious resource! Can I put some in a freezer bag? how long will it stay good for? I want to start cooking two at a time if the cooked squash can be frozen.
thanks!

Bah hahahahahaha! OMG! ROTFLMAO! Did you have to buy a new microwave? I think my furbabies would just die if my microwave blew up like that. I bet that was fun to clean up!

LOL!

Since I am the only one that eats it I always split it in two take out the seeds and only cook one half at a time. The only way I have ever cooked it is in the microwave. I put a small amount of water in the bottom of a dish and lay the squash cut side down and cover with plastic wrap, cook for about 10 to 12 minutes or until it collapses in the middle. Then let cool and scoop out of shell. Never tried freezing but would be interested to know if you can.

khm, spaghetti squash is a great substitute for pasta, rice, etc. It has many, many uses. Search in the top banner for 'spaghetti squash' and you'll get lots of info.
It seems you can cut it before or after you cook it. I cut mine before, but it's usually hard to do. They are hard like a pumpkin before they're cooked. I place it in the micro in a dish with about 1 inch of water, cover it with saran wrap and cook for about 12-15 minutes. Once it's cooked, you'll see why it's called spaghetti squash- you take a fork and scrape the inside until you've gotten it all out. It comes out very easily.
Try it, you'll probably like it. :)
