In a hurry morning yogurt shake

I have a 2 1/2 month old daughter, so I don't always have time to eat. I made up this shake and it fills me up until snack time. I'm in phase 1, so it is good for all phases:

1 c fat-free plain yogurt
2 tbsp splenda
1/2 c ice
1/2 c skim milk
1 tsp sugar-free metamucil
1 tsp vanilla extract

put in blender and blend until smooth.

You can omit the metamucil if you'd like, but I put it in to get extra fiber and to fill me up more. Let me know if you try it and what you think!

After having a colonoscopy a few weeks ago my doctor put me on Miralax which is a priscripton laxative. Unsure of how I was going to get it down everyday, since I hate drinking anything I don't like,I mixed it with a pack of splenda, a teaspoon of cocoa powder and a glass of skim milk. It was very good, so this has become my morning ritual. It is filling and since I have never been a big breakfast eater it is just enough. I will have to try adding the yogurt to it. I bet that will make it even better.

What a great idea!! Thanks Melody!

When I was a kid, my mom used to make us egg nog for breakfast. She simply put some milk, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg

Karezz!!!

Go ahead and have your egg nog for breakfast!!! Just use eggbeaters instead of an egg. They're pasteurized so there's no danger of salmonella.
OH, I'm sure you alredy know to use sugar substitute, but just wanted to clarify for others who may not.

You can also buy specially pasturized whole eggs (still in their shell) in some stores. They aren't everywhere yet, but I have used them.

I did add in the full metamucil but I had to add in more splenda because the taste is overwhelming. You can add cocoa, too. I tried that the other day for variety. You can also use different extracts like almond, etc.
