So today I mixed 1 c Arrowwood oat bran waffle mix with 1c kashi go lean, a couple of eggs, 1 T oil, a container of no added sugar apple sauce, some extra baking powder, salt, orange zest, and cinnamon to make my waffles. Topped it all off with oranges from our tree mixed with yogurt, vanilla, splenda and a dash of coconut flavor. Turned out very yummy.

So you can use kashi to add protein/fiber to your pancakes or waffles. Just be sure to use extra baking powder and mix well with your hand blender. Adds a nice complexity.

Also, I like the mix. All whole grain and lots of fiber.

I usually use the Hodgeson Mills Buckwheat Pancake mix.
