I have searched and cannot find. Is there a frozen yogurt recipe I can make out of nonfat yogurt? Any ideas? Sorry if this is common knowledge, but I can't find it.

Thank you. If I don't have an ice cream machine is there another way to make this? I was thinking I could just mix it in a bowl and freeze or will that not work? Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if it will turn out as creamy.

I'd try watching it closely and stirring it every 30 min or so. Keep taking it out, stirring, until its the consistency of soft serve ice cream. Don't let it freeze "solid", you will need a chisel to eat it :-)
You can buy ice cream makers at Walmart/Target type places for about $20...found mine to be well worth the investment!

I thought I would toss in my Yogurt Idea, I stumbled onto by accident.

I mix about a 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries (I partially thaw them in the microwave) in with a about 3/4 of a cup of plain, lowfat yogurt. I add a packet of splenda, and 2 table spoons of ground flax seed.

I place it in the freezer for about 20 min. It just starts to freeze, it is cold and creamy.

Good Luck!

Thanks, sounds good. I don't have any Splenda, and have put off buying it cuase frankly I am afraid of it. Thinking studies will show it does horrible things to the human body. I just wonder if sugar substitutes are really that good for us? Okay dif topic i know, but thinking outloud.
I will do the blueberries with yogurt and flaxseed. thanks!!!!!!!!

Lizzyeee:

I know what you mean about the artificial sweeteners. I do try to limit my intake of them. I also weigh that by the fact that sometimes I feel like, "If I do not have something sweetened with Splenda - etc, I will go out and eat some junk food. I figure it is the lesser of two evils. Not sure what I will do when I get to phase three.

Good luck with the Fozen Yogurt tests, let us know what you find out!
