I love your Springsteen blinkie. My DH and I actually met at a Bruce show in NYC in 2000 and had a Bruce themed wedding 2 years later. Just thought it was great to see another Bruce fan around.
There are plenty of cereals you can eat on SBD. I don't think that would be a deal breaker. You might find a new SBD friendly cereal you like, or you may find your cravings for cereal decrease as you start eating whole grains.
Definitely get the book from the library and give it a quick read. It's pretty short, since almost half of its bulk is from the recipes.
I'm amazed at the difference in my appetite when I'm eating SBD-friendly foods. I am satisfied with less food, and don't have those urgent hungry cravings anymore. LOL
