I just used part of an avocado for lunch. How can I store the rest of it for tomorrow without it turning black?

My best guess would be to rub the cut surface with lime or lemon juice, and wrap it in plastic wrap so the surface is covered. That's a tough one, b/c they turn brown SO fast.

Good luck! The only way you can truly do is to vacuum seal it. Your best bet is to try and eliminate as much air contact as possible. Wrap it SUPER tight in plastic wrap making sure the plastic touches directly/covers the surface to the avocado. I've had them last about 1/2 a day that way - but never make it til tomorrow.

We go through at least 1-2 avo's per day around here - the kids use it on everything or just gobble them up, so I rarely have to worry about trying to save it!

If you left the peel on and the seed in, then just the exposed surface will brown, which is easy to cut off the next day. Otherwise, I'm not any help! Although, come to think of it, I had some chopped in a salad, which I had in a very tightly sealed plastic container, and it didn't brown at all over the 2 days it took DH and I to finish off the salad.

Well, the seed is gone but the half still has the skin. I coated it with lemon and wrapped in tightly. So far, it looks fine. I hope it makes it until lunch time tomorrow!!

I usually cut it in half, and leave the leftover half in its skin, with the pit still in it, and press plastic wrap to the exposed surface, and get out all the air. If you've already taken it out of its skin, like the others said, plastic wrap and get as much of the air out as you can is your best bet.
