I know this may be a lost cause, but does anybody have a SBD friendly recipe for sweet and sour sauce? I really want chinese!

I've never tried this, but here you go:


1/3 cup white vinegar
4 Packets of Splenda
1 TB Tomato Paste
1 tsp soy sauce
2 teaspoons arrowroot


Mix the vinegar, splenda, tomato paste, and soy sauce together and bring to a boil in a small pot.
Mix together the arowroot with 4 Tsps of water; add to the other ingredients and stir to thicken.

Here is the one we use:

Sweet and Sour Sauce:
1/2 cup sugar-free apricot jam
1 T vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon powdered ginger
1 T soy sauce
1 T cornstarch (dissolve it in soy sauce before adding)

MichaelAnn, just wanted to tell you that we tried this sweet & sour sauce in some stir-fry last week and it was great!!! My DH really loved it. It will become a staple around here!!!
