If anyone is like me then they crave crunchy things sometimes. Well I just created this because sometimes I like chips especially in the summer sitting by the pool with some salsa.
Usually I use Joseph's Lavash Bread (the flax oat bran kind) because it's flat and easier to cut into chips but you can but the pita pockets of the same kind and since in Phase 2 you can have the whole wheat pitas I know that in small doses I can eat them. With some no sugar added salsa.
So you take the Lavash Bread (or pitas) and cut them up in squares/triangles. Preheat the oven to 395 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil Spray the bottom of the pan with Olive Oil Pam. Spray the tops of the breads lightly with the Olive Oil Pam just enough to get them a little wet. Then season with whatever seasoning you want, I usually just sprinkle them with some salt and pepper, sometimes I do garlic powder, or parmesan cheese, you could do splenda and cinnamon if you wanted something sweet. Then put in the oven for about 10 mins but you need to watch them as they cook up pretty fast and you don't want them to get too brown.
Lower the oven to about 345 and lower cooking time down to about 8 mins as the over gets warmer.
Store in an airtight container or a big freezer bag.
