I am curious about ground beef.  If I have a fattier variety - regular ground beef - (frozen before sbd) - if I brown it, then put it in a strainer, press all of the grease/fat out of it can I eat it - or what if I boil it and then drain it - is it legal?  Someone once told me that this is a good way to get fat out.  Is that true?  Or is it the meat itself thats no good?

Also - I can't find the split pea soup recipe - where is it?

Thanks

Yes, you can boil and drain your meat to remove more fat.
