quick answer needed for crock pot recipe

I've made this recipe before, but I don't know if I cooked it on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours. I only have 4 hours today, and I won't even be home to check it at that time. The recipe is simple. one 3 pound roast (my roast is 31/2 pounds), 1 can of black beans drained ( I added an extra can) and 1 cup of salsa (I also added 1/2 cup more and 1/4 cup of water) I now have it cooking for 5 hours. Do you think it will be done? It's a top round. I also have a glass lid that is actually touching the meat. I thought this would be o.k. because the roast will shrink. Any thoughts?
