Which ham?

I am thinking of cooking up a ham for Easter since it's relatively easy but I didn't realize there were so many ham options.  What should I be looking for to make sure my ham is SBD-friendly??

You can have any ham that is lean and not honey glazed.

A spiral ham is legal then??? That's great news. The "glaze" I put on includes mustard and maple syrup, and I can just buy sf maple syrup. Is that usually a pretty good substitute for regular?

Glad to know I can still legally do ham for easter.

Sugar free maple syrup or sugar-free apricot preserves both work well.

Could I get a glazed one and just not eat the glaze?

Most aren't actually pre-glazed but come with a "glaze packet" - at least that is what I see most often. You still have to mix the packet with water, and apply the glaze yourself during the cooking process. I just throw away the packet and make my own glaze w/sugar-free apricot preserves, sf maple syrup, mustard, spices, etc.

I'm not sure how you can tell if its truly glazed or just includes a glaze mix.
