Yummy way to get veggies

I swear this is good.
I took Dr. Oz's green drink and then morphed it into a smoothie. I made his base recipe (only did half the recipe and had to add water to get it to blend and could not fit all ingredients into blender but it was close. Made sure that I got a lot of spinich in there since that is the most nutrient dense of the lot). Then I froze it as ice cubes. Then I took some of the frozen cubes, added some plain yogurt, a little milk, some water and some sweetener (stevia for me). Blended that up and it is a fantastic smoothie!! And it is a veggie serving.
You could probably leave out the milk products to get better iron absorption, but I like the bit of creaminess it adds (and some nutrition).
I know it sounds a bit crazy but it is rocking good!
Here is the Dr Oz recipe for the base green drink (the drink itself is a bit too chunky for me but I like it frozen!).
What's in Dr. Oz's green drink?
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 cups cucumber
- 1 head of celery
- 1/2 inch or teaspoon ginger root
- 1 bunch parsley
- 2 apples
- Juice of 1 lime
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
After everything is combined in a blender, this recipe makes 28 to 30 ounces—about three to four servings. Oprah takes a sip and is pleasantly surprised. "It's a glass of fresh," she says.

After your inspiring fat pants photos, I'm willing to try anything :)
I just CANNOT tell my hubby or my son what I'm drinking -- they would both think I lost it.
