Hey all,
We bought a small jar of cashew butter just to try it a few weeks ago. DH tried it in a smoothie a few days ago and it was ok, but IMO, not as good as peanut butter. So now I'm looking for other ideas to use this. So, anyone have any ideas???
TIA,
Rebekah

Katy had a great one the other day!! I haven't tried it yet, but only because I didn't have enough frozen bananas... It's kind of an "ice cream" with frozen bananas, cashew butter, and a little maple syrup...
Hmmm, that sounds interesting. Do you mash or blend it??? Thanks for the idea, Dana.
Maybe Katy will chime in here with the recipe. I really would like to use this. Even those little jars are expensive!!!

I made that a few days ago and it was really good! I added a few tablespoons of dark chocolate chips to it and we both loved it!
You just put 3 cups of frozen banana slices, 1/2 cup cashew butter, 1/4 - 1/2
Let me know when you try it, Dana. I didn't really care for it in the banana smoothie. But the maple syrup might give a totally different taste. Worth a try, anyway!!!

Thanks Katy. I need to try this. I think the maple syrup will be good in that. What should the texture be??? I don't have a food processor and I'm afraid the magic bullet would be too small. I could probably use the blender attachment on the magic bullet tho.

Based on my own experience trying to blend frozen fruit in my bullet blender attachment, I don't know how well that would work. I don't think there's enough liquid in this recipe. A regular blender would probably work fine though. You want it to be really creamy. No clumps.
I hope you get to try it!
