Newbie and excited about this diet!

Hi everyone-
My name is Elizabeth and I have been lurking on this board since I started SBD! My husband did it before our wedding two years ago and he lost 15 lbs. and looked amazing! I did Weight Watchers before our wedding and lost 20 lbs. Fast forward to two years...we both gained back the weight and a little more! I think we got too comfortable and started eating bad foods and not exercising enough. Anyway, I knew we needed to make a change and we started this together so we are healthy for ourselves and future children.
We started more at Phase 2 (although to date still no WW pasta, bread, potatoes, etc.). Basically, I still wanted to eat some natural fruit. After two weeks he is down 10 lbs and I am down 8.5 lbs., so something is working. I like it so much better than WW b/c you can eat anything at WW (within moderation) but you are still eating pre packaged foods. I feel so much lighter and less bloated, it is amazing. I am glad he has "shown me the light"!
Anyway, we are talking hour long walks with our dog each night and eating healthy foods that we prepare. We love seeing the change in ourselves! :) I never knew how much I love WW pitas and tortillas- they are delicious. I was eating horrible white flour breads, pastas, all the bad carbs!
We love mexican food so last night I made SBD legal tostados! I took WW tortillas brushed in EVOO and sprinkled them with chili powder and paprika and broiled them to get crispy. Then I layered with vegetarian refried beans, laura's lean beef with taco seasoning, lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, olives, light cheese and light sour cream. They were awesome! I would recommend to anyone!
