this steak is out of a cartoon! Help!

Hi all!
As some of you know I am kitchen challenged, and this board has been so helpful in the past helping me navigate new recipes!
As a gift someone gave me a huge Allen Brothers bone-in fillet mignon. It is a 16 ounce huge heavy, steak. I took it out of the freezer and into the fridge to let it thaw.
Any suggestions on how to cook this thing? I'm really not going for flavor, or cool ideas. I just would like the easiest way for me to cook this thing and get some mileage out of it for dinner and some steak salads. I looked at the website and there wasn't any clear recipes, just temperatures.
Thoughts?

Do you have a grill pan?
Hi Cathy!
I have never heard of a "grill" pan, I believe my pans are of the frying variety? Should I invest in a grill pan?
And as for "Broiler", if you mean the thing on the bottom of my oven that I put my tuna melt in to melt the cheese...then I have that.
Unfortunately no room for a barbeque here in my sad Astoria apartment. (Moving to Hell's Kitchen soon, though!)
I'm so embarrassed, I usually grill all my meats on my george foreman! I feel like I'm still in college! LOL!
Don't worry, none of us were born knowing how to do this stuff.
You live in Astoria? Me too!
I am also a bit kitchen challenged sometimes. Just last night I completely butchered a turkey burger...lol.
Oh, and this is what a grill pan looks like:
Hi Cathy and Jamie!
That grill pan looks useful, I am going to get one for my new apartment!!!
and oh, I LOVE my George Foreman, don't get me wrong, but it just unfortunately doesn't work in every single protein situation. This steak is sadly way too big for my little foreman. For now, Jamie, I am going to try the method you posted and see how it goes.
I'll let you all know tomorrow!
