As for whole vs milled, I'm assuming that when you say milled you mean ground.
I like flax seed oil in salad dressings. I add some liquid brag ( like soy sauce) and oregano and that is all I need. i like it. You get good omegas. Also good for depression. flax seeds need to be groud to get the benefits. leila
You can sprinkle it on things, salads, cereal, spaghetti sauce. It has a crunchy nutty flavor, bet it would be good on whipped cauliflower with a little parmesan. leila

I just purchased a box of the ground flax by Hodgeson Mills -- had never seen it before, and did, so grabbed a box.
I love ground flax misex into my yogurt, with some fruit.
