This sounds like a great alternative to roasted almonds.

My question will likely show my lack of food knowledge.

How do you know if you've purchased blanched almonds?

I have a bag of almonds that are plain, whole almonds.

Blanched almonds are almonds without the skin.

And, these would probably be just as good using regular almonds.
