"Pump Head" treatment???

I don't know how many of you are familiar with "pump head" syndrome, which occurs in approximately 42% of patients who undergo bypass surgery. (The patient goes "on pump" when the heart is stopped, "off pump" when it's started up again.)

There is much on the internet about pump head, but diddly squat about treatment!!

My husband had open heart surgery 2 years ago at age 45, and we've both been suffering through this. We are both certain he has some cognitive impairment post surgery, and though we are certainly glad he's with us to have the impairment.....we'd sure like to be able to DO something about it!

Any ideas? Any resources?
