I was seen by a cardiologist and had an echo done of my heart b/c I was born with VSD and was having alot of heart palipitations and racing. These would occur while at rest and I'd have trouble breathing. Like being suffocated or somebody sitting on my chest. I can also feel my heart pausing or skipping beats I guess is what it is called.
The echo showed that the VSD repaired itself. He told me the results were fine and that I should avoid caffeine. I got the results myself and it says my Ejection Fraction was 60% and his notes say that I have a physiologic tricuspid insufficiency. How can they tell if it's physiologic? Are my symptoms generally associated with caffeine intake? I only have one cup of coffee a day.
