I could have been killed!

Or at the very least, badly injured. I was sitting at my desk, checking email, while dh was out mowing the grass. My desk sits beside the window, so I heard the lawn mower when it hit a rock. I saw the rock fly, but had no idea that it might hit the window. Next thing I knew, I was covered in glass, as was my desk, chair and floor. The rock had hit the side of my chair and bounced off. It came within inches of hitting my head. One of dh's good friends is the coroner and when he saw what happened, he told me that I was lucky to be alive! We never know when or how. Tragic things can happen in an instant.

So, I'm safe and my cold is getting better and I'm ready to rock this week! (Pun intended.) 8^)

this is why my kids aren't allowed outside when we are mowing! My sister was hit by a flying rock when she was little and my dad was mowing, it became a rule them. Never occured to me that we should also stay away from the windows! WOW you got lucky, guess it wasn't your time! Scary!

YIKES! :O How freaky! It's never come up in our house, as the only lawn we have is the front yard, and it's not near our front windows. It sounds like something that could so easily happen, too, as sometimes things hidden in the grass are not seen before mowing over them. I am so glad you are alright! :)

Blessings,

Gypsy

That's certainly wise on your part to keep the kids indoors! Was your sister okay after she was hit? Yep, I was lucky and nope, it wasn't my time. 8^) Thank goodness!

Thanks, Gypsy! It was indeed a close call, but life wasn't done with me, yet. 8^)

Hi Geri. Wow, how scary. I'm sooooo glad that you are ok. A higher power was certainly watching over you.
