Well, I wasn't sure what/how to choose. ;) I *do* have high blood pressure, but it's been well-regulated with meds and has been for years. I *had* too high "bad" cholesterol and triglycerides, but thanks to Weight Watchers and a change in lifestyle, I no longer do. I *was* a smoker of 2 packs/day, but quit in October 1980. I used to also not exercise, but now walk daily with my dog.

So, post triple bypass this past March, hopefully the risks and damage I caused myself earlier in my life, are no longer risks I continue to take with my health. I know the abuse of my smoking could have created permanent damage, what with the blood pressure issues, and the dire combo of smoking and birth control pills years ago. That damage may become more prominent or cause problems later as I continue to age. Just like the damage I unwittingly did to myself with high fat high sugar high sodium consumption, with no exercise, for many years, also. <:=\\

I have one other major risk, that *is* heredity. Diabetes. A few years ago I was labeled as a "pre-diabetic" by my doctor. >>:=O I brought those dangerously high readings down by getting off processed sugar, "white" breads, bleached grains, etc., as I began living the WW lifestyle, too. So, I watch carefully the amount of sugar as well as fat I consume. I don't need to end up becoming diabetic in my old age, along with everything else I've done to myself over the years with unhealthy living. That's for sure! :o(

I don't want to "pay the piper" any higher price than I have already! And I certainly don't want to re-clog up my new heart vessels again by going back to a high fat diet or stopping the exercise, also damaging to my heart long term. <:-O
