Every year at Christmastime, I tell my dh that maybe the following year I'll be too old to want to go through all the decorating. (Hasn't happened, yet!) This is a little bit off the beaten path, but at Christmas I begin decorating the day after Halloween. Sounds crazy, I know, but it takes literally weeks for me to get everything put up outside and in. I remove all pictures from my walls and all the things on the shelves to make room for Christmas stuff. (We don't turn lights on, though, until the 1st of December.) There's also a tree in every room, including the bathrooms. (But those are really small.)

Anyhow, I grew two humongous pumpkins this year, so those will be by the door (outside) with the corn stalks.

Yes I usually decorate for all the holidays. But lately it seems like it's such a chore to take everything down and put away. Last year I told DH that maybe we should just set the Christmas tree in the spare room and put a sheet over it until this year.....LOL. We will do a pumpkin for the porch and I'll have to see what else I have.

Happy Halloween everyone!!!!

Yes! I have a TON of Halloween candles, my favorite! ;) Some of them are those melt warmers, some are candle holders or tea light holders. Others are Halloween scented (that sounds strange lol). And of course pumpkins!

I probably have too much stuff because it's difficult to find space (indoors and out!) to put it all. :) For the very first time this year, I grew my own pumpkins and we harvested several huge ones. So, we're going to carve and decorate a couple of them for outside and the others we're going to give away.

A lot of people don't decorate for Halloween and a few don't for for Christmas, either. For me, that's the

Oooo, your house sounds beautiful! I love the fall colors of browns and yellows. As for "the cream of the crop," I leave that up to the Christmas holiday. :)
