Working at a no-kill shelter I get attatched to alot of the kitties that I work with, and it's really hard not to bring them all home.

Jimi (who is a she!) had been at DHA for 2 years, she was shy and most of the time if you tried to pet her she'd bite you. A few weeks ago Jimi started acting really sluggish, so we put her in Isolation and gave her some antibiotics. When I found out that the vet wanted to do bloodwork on Jimi- who had become a loveable bundle of purr since we moved her- I said to the Vet techs, "if anythings wrong with her , you know I'm going to have to adopt her right?" Well the test results came back and it showed that Jimi's Kidneys weren't doing so good. So of course I brought her home.

Jimi probably won't be with us very long, but I'm glad she's here now and she knows what it's like to have a good home- and to be loved- and thats really all that matters.

That would be sooo hard to work there! I am so glad you have her and sad that she was there so long without a home. Good for you!

Oh Danielle you are sooooo wonderful for adopting Jimi and bringing her home for some TLC. You are a VERY special person to give that much love to a kitty in need! I am crying because this touched me so deeply. It means so much that Jimi will be loved for however much time she has left in our world. Bless you & Jimi and please let us know how she's doing.

Big Hugs,

Suzy

That is so nice of you to adopt a "special" kitty. You will never regret it. I never once regretted adopting ^Skeeter^ and ^Cee Cee Round Cat^, who were both FeLV+. The love that they shared with me almost made up for the shortness of their time with us.

Animals are forever - and so is their love.
