We had thunderstorms & tornadoes here in Nebraska this afternoon. The skys were very dark and the forcasters suggested we go seek safe shelter. I put Salty into a carrier and took her down to the basement along with the other 3 cats & 2 of my 3 chinchillas (Scrat refused to let me catch her). I sat with her while the other cats walked past & it was funny watching Salty growl at them and they looked up at her in puzzlement. LOL At least she was safe in her carrier. I didn't want her to be "introduced" so soon to the others, but I had no choice. When my dh called from work & said it would be safe for me to take them back upstairs, I brought Salty back to her private room. She's happy to be out of that carrier & she's burrowed underneath the sleeping bag for a nap. There is still thunder around, but I'm keeping an eye on the weather and letting the cats calm down a bit. What an afternoon!
Now it's late and I'm worried that she hasn't eaten even half her morning portion of food. By this time the past two days she was ready for her evening portion....not tonight. I hope she's not sick. She's sneezing a lot. She's sleeping again now so I'll just see how it goes over night.
Thanks for listening. Have a great Sunday!
