Thursday Salty Update

Well I just got home......without my Salty. I went to the vet's after work and she'd already gone home, but her assistant told me Salty had had more nebulizer treatments but had a temp over 103 so they wanted to keep her again overnight and see how she was in the morning. I spent a half hour with her but she was so lethargic (she'd just gotten her antibiotic shot) and she really had congestion. I saw little wet bubbles in her nose and she would make an occasional gagging/hacking noise. Poor thing obviously is still having trouble breathing with all that gunk! I hope she will sleep and continue to fight the nasty infection. I only work 1/2 day tomorrow, so I'll stop to see her after noon or so. I am thinking they may let me take her home then....but one never knows.
Thanks for your prayers for her to get healthy soon.
((((Hugs)))) (Lots of purrs from Salty, too!)

Hi Suzy,
I want to offer my prayers and positive thoughts that Salty will get over this nasty infection soon.

Suzy
Thank you from Salty & me
My thoughts and prayers are with your clan, and Salty!!
Our Hunter had the same ailment, but our vet didn't make him stay (probably cause when she saw him, he wasn't that sick yet). It seems that this particular sickness got worse before it started to clear up (with the aid of antibiotics)
My DH and I didn't know Hunter was so sick, and we just bought a new kitty into our home the same night. So, we had a very sick kitty (complete w/ snotty bubbles and coughing)who was so exhausted AND trying to process what the new girl was doing in the house.
I'm sure Salty will recover nicely, and you will be able to bring her home, back where she belongs! hugs to all!

I remember when I first brought Zipper home. He slept right next to me from day one. One night he had his head on my pillow (which I didn't know as I was asleep when he moved there). I woke up to a very wet kitty sneeze right in my face! =:o I don't remember how long it took him to get over it, but he wasn't as sick as Salty is.
Animals are forever - and so is their love.
