Misha (Salty) Update for Friday...

I am so happy Misha is eating more & drinking more too! It's definitely an improvement over the past 48 hours. Maybe it's the liquid medicine I'm giving her? I took her to the vets again today but she was so busy I didn't get to talk to her. Her assistant weighed her & she's back up to 6.3 lb...yeah! Her temp was normal & she got some more injectable fluids as a precaution. Now she's back home snoozing away. She had some diarrhea, but that's probably due to all the antibiotics she's on. I hope she gets better over the weekend so maybe I can FINALLY let her out of isolation. (Thomie keeps crying at the door....she want to meet her new sister!) I have to keep wiping the goop from her eyes. I guess that's drainage from her URI. She's "talking" more today, which is a good sign. I told her you are all asking about her & are praying & sending hugs, kisses, etc. She purred at that!
I have housework to do now....oh joy. I will let my furbabies sleep for awhile.
Have a wonderful evening!

Yeeeessss! That's wonderful news Suzy. You did an excellent job of helping her get over that nasty bug and nursing her back to health.
Suzy, that is indeed great and wonderful news.

I try to reassure the other cats & give them attention too since they are wondering about this new cat and why they can't go in her room. Boots & Thomie enjoyed looking out at our bird feeder today since there were so many beautiful birds there with the sunny, mild weather.
How's Trouble doing this evening?
Thanks again for your prayers. I will keep you all posted :-)

Misha would like to thank all of the other Misha's here on the board for helping her mom to find her new beautiful name! :-)
I hope your lovely Misha & Sammy are having a nice evening with their dad >^..^<

Misha didn't appear to be sick when I first brought her home. (The URI she got from the Humane Society was still in incubation). It was about 1-2 days later that the sneezing started & then she got real sick after that. I loved her the moment I first saw her , and so I was horrified when one of my co-workers said I should "exchange" her (as if she's merchandise) and then she even went so far to say that " if the Humane Society didn't want the expense of treating a sick cat, that they should have put her to sleep". I told her I wouldn't dream of giving her up and that I am more than happy to take care of her. I am so grateful I had the chance to adopt her since I'm not sure other people would have given her the love she needed. She has the sweetest personality. (Sorry I rambled so much....I hadn't told anyone about what that woman had said & it really bothered me). Some people don't understand that we love our furkids equally in sickness & in health. (Just like you would human children).
Misha was very happy to receive Daisy's message and she replied, "meow, meeeooow, meow!" "Thank you Daisy!" :-)

Suzy
