Do cats blink?? Mine can stare at me for a long time before closing their eyes... and usually they close their eyes really only to sleep.

What's up with that?

cl-catwoman ri... I love your clip art! The black & white cat outline with a heart and the word cat... very cute!

As for my babies, I have two.

Karma is a either a long haired torti (what the shelter told me) or she's a long hair brown tabby persian. She has a round face, a fluff of chest hair, and a big poofy tail. I wish I had pictures to attach... She has big round yellow/green eyes, and she's a bit of a spaz. She loves the "butt scratch" and flies with all her might at bugs and toys just out of her reach. She often lands on body parts other than her feet (like her butt or head). She purrs incessantly, and I love it! She's almost two years old now, and she still likes to sleep on top of me.

Onyx was a stray until I took her in. She's 98% black (short hair) with a brown accents. She also has a big poofy tail and the biggest, roundest yellow eyes you've ever seen. They have a sort of sunburst effect to them around the edges. Hard to explain, but gorgeous. The weird thing about her fur, is that after having her spayed, the hair grew back grey on her belly. She will lay flat on her back with both legs spread wide apart... and she craves attention more than any living creature I've ever known. She gets jealous of Karma... and when she plays she still hisses a little. I know it's harmless. She spent about 6 months being a tough stray cat before coming upon my office. She had become too much of a distraction to everyone, so we were told to not feed her or pet her... It was just starting to get cold outside, and my heart went out to her. I just had to take her home.

It took Onyx and Karma about two weeks to become friends. Now they clean each other, play with each other, chase each other around, and sleep together. It's very sweet how well they get along!
