Hermione is meowing a whole lot but I'm not taking it as a uphappy meow more playful meow. It doesnt bug us. She meows whenever we make her stay in her room or whenever we hold her. She even meows when she is allowed out in the master bedroom to play. Her room is the master bathroom. Its a huge bathroom with plenty of area to play and has plenty of room for all her kitty stuff. I felt like it was the safest for now, as she has a habit of getting into trouble when let into the master bedroom. We dont keep her in there all day. She is let out a lot doing the day and all night until we go to bed. My daughter spends a lot of time in the bathroom with Hermoine. We have to watch her carefully in the master bedroom as she likes to chew on wires. Prince did that, too, for about a year when we brought him home at six months of age. Anyways, is all this meowing normal? I do really believe she is aleast part Siamese or short hair Oriental if not full blooded Oriental. I know they are very vocal, I'm just curious how normal even for a Siamese or Oriental is all this meowing. Candy is half Siamese and she meows when talk to but not all day long. Both Candy and Hermoine have pretty meows. Prince doesnt know what a meow is! lol
Also, she was fixed according to her papers on June 9. I noticed today a little blue looking string hanging from the area. Not very long. Maybe half an inch or 1/4 of an inch. She doesnt appear to be in pain from it or even notice it at all. Should I worry about it? She has an appt sent up for July 6 for her last set of kitten shots.
I used bitter apple when Prince was chewing. Is it ok to use on a kitten this young? I need to spray something on the wires to keep her safe. She likes to chew on any and all wires.
I had success this morning already with Prince and Hermione. He calmed down so fast over her arrival that I decided to go ahead and let them met face to face and it went wonderfully! I wouldnt call them friends but there was no hissing or growling just mere acceptance of each. Kind of looked at each other and I swore they said to each other "Ok, so we have to live with each other. Leave me alone and I'll leave you alone". Candy is still not pleased but hopefully she will come around soon enough. We have been petting and holding both adult cats and telling them that they are still King and Queen and that Hermione is just a Princess. ;) :)

Sure you can ask kitten questions here, they are cats too. lol
I'm glad to hear not to worry about the blue thread. There is no redness and its not swollen. I'm going to pick up some of that bitter apple this weekend. She sacred the wits out of us because she decide to attack the power strip this morning. The hubby told her no no and put her back in her room. I hope she understood why she was getting put back. Things are just improving with Prince. This morning he went to her door and they played some type of paw game under the door. Things are getting worse with Candy. One better, one worse. *sigh* She has taken to hiding in the laudry room which is what she did when we first brought her home. She also hides out in the corner of my daughter's room. Once in a while we can pet her and last night she let my husband pick her up but we have had very bad moments, too. I laid down on my stomach yesterday so I could be eye level with her and tried to pet her and she jump at me and held my face in her mouth. She didnt bite down, she never does, but she had never done this before except with hand and feet. It sacred me that she did it to my face. I forced her to let go and she just hissed and growled at me. This morning she allowed me a two second pat. I know I need to just give her time but.............its hard sometimes and I dont like that she went after my face even if she didnt bite down.
