I really appreciated all of the input and that "How to give your cat a pill "instruction information is hilarious. My kitty is named Jewel-for "Jewel of the Nile"her brother is Taj for "Taj Mahal"-they are Himalayans.Jewel started to lose her hair at back of neck and behind ears-nothing visible causing this -no changes to care.Vet gave her Prednisone and a hormone-didn't work.Took her to the Cat "Dermatologist"and he did a scraping and thought it might be ringworm but DH and I both know what ringworm looks like and that wasn't it.Soooo we paid $300 for him to tell us to give her Chlortrimeton and watch and wait!!!Her hair is starting to grow back but she is still scratching a little.Getting ready to call him back and see if he has any other suggestions over the phone since he's seen her already.Oh and if I don't get this pill right down her throat once it starts to disolve causes her to foam at the mouth because of the bitterness-that's a real treat-Thank goodness he warned me of that or I would have run down to the emergency vet with her and do another $300 visit.I'm going to see about the "piller" someone mentioned and see if the crisco idea would cause the foaming.I'll tell ya I have 2 giant dogs and it's easier by far to almost anything with them compared to these little tigers.Well time to give another pill-wish me luck.

I know just what you mean. LOL I freaked out when I saw Misha foam at the mouth before I knew what was going on. I learned that I had to keep her head back & push the pill way to the back in order to avoid that foaming and get the pill down the first time. The pill dispenser (Piller) didn't work for me....she was just too squirmy. I'm sure it works well for other people who are better trained than myself....giggle! I sometimes think a liquid version of medicine is easier to give...especially if it's beef flavored.

Good luck and please let us know how your baby is doing.
