Procter & Gamble recalls Vicks DayQuil capsules
By MATTHEW PERRONE Fri Dec 18, 2:36 PM PST
CINCINNATI - Procter & Gamble Co. is recalling 700,000 packs of Vicks DayQuil capsules because they are not childproof.
The consumer product maker, based in Cincinnati, said Friday the affected products do not contain child-resistant packaging, despite labeling claims on the box. The issue only affects DayQuil Cold & Flu 24-Count LiquiCaps Bonus Pack.

While I *do* think that there should be packaging that is child prood for those households that require it, I think consumers should be able to choose. Sometimes I can't deal with and open some of these child proof bottles. So I hack the top off the bottles with a sharp knife, LOL! :D
Packaging should be clearly labeled, of course, so people can make the right choice for their needs. But I think companies should offer both easy open and childproof. Consumers should be responsible for choosing the one they want. Shrug.

I'm thinking how they look like suppositories if dangerous to swallow in children.
