Is a lump serious?

Hello all...I was just wondering, I have a 6mo old kitty that was recently spayed and vaccinated and just today I noticed a small, pea sized lump under her skin between her shoulder blades...I don't know if this is strange or what and I don't have the money to take her to the vet so was thinking I would just keep an eye on it to see if it gets bigger, but I wanted to check with all you cat lovers first and see if you had any advice other than that... Thanks!!!

I think Cat would know since she works with animals as a tech. Does she have a microchip implant? My kitten does, and you can sometimes feel it around her shoulder blades. If not, I would definitely at least call the vet (advice over the phone is free). Maybe your vet would check it for free or a reduced cost? I told mine I was under some financial pressure (after so many vet visits recently) and she did my cat Boot's last visit totally free.

Please keep us posted! Lumps should always be checked out to make sure there's nothing wrong.

Hugs,

Thanks everyone, I got all kinds of responses! :) I am going to call the vet today and see what they say so I will let you know. I was thinking it could have been from one of the shots, also, but you never know. :) I'll let you know soon, thanks again!

I truly hope the lump is nothing more than a skin irriatation. I just went through a scare with my cat, about her eye, so I know things like that can be worrisome. *hugs*
