Of course I will keep Delilah, Diana and Tony in my thoughts and prayers today. That is so sad.

Good news and a correction…

I was wrong on kidney problems with Delilah. Sorry, it is thyroid problems. Anyway Diana said the vet thought it would be worth trying a new medication on her. Since Delilah will not let you give her a pill or liquid (Diana says she will throw it up then hide for days) she went to the compounding pharmacy that we use (still, we do mail order) to get a medication made that can be rubbed into the ears (we did this with Electra for her last year). Delilah is not eating well and looks very bad, but is not in pain and the vet says she looks far worse than she is.

^Pudd^ had hyperthyroidism (that was the first thing he was diagnosed with at age 12) and maintained very well for a couple of years on oral meds - we just recently started using the topical methimazole and it works SO much better for a lot of patients.

That's great news David. I hope Delilah will improve with the new meds and diet.
