Does anyone else have a cat that just sits and stares at them? lol Only one of my cats does this but she is also the more lovey dovey one. She will be sitting across from me or even on my lap and I will be doing whatever, homework or TV or whatever and when I look over she is just staring at my face. For a long time, too! Why does she do this? Sometimes when she sees you look at her she will "chirp" and come walking over..it's like, "no, just because I looked at you it doesn't mean I want you crawling all over me!" haha she's a funny one... just curious as to how many of you have this too...

Have a good one!

My tempermental 5-year-old, Sparkle, and I are always having "staring contests". I usually when, because I'm sure she gets bored of looking at me. But yes, sometimes a stare can lead into command of sorts.

Yes! Asher does this all the time. I'll just be watching tv or something and glance over at him and he'll just be staring at me, and he'll keep staring at me! It's kind of freaky sometimes! He does it a lot though.

Maybe we are just highly entertaining. LOL!

My cat Amber does this. She's a big snuggler and can sit on my lap for HOURS. Every once in a while, I'll have her on my lap, petting her absentmindly while I'm watching TV and then I'll look down and she's staring right back up at me. It's a little unnerving. And while it's weird, I think it's even weirder when she stares at the ceiling or floor for no apparent reason. LOL
