What was your first Christmas like with a kitty?

I guess our most memorable one would be the first year we have Vance. Shayde we'd had for 2 years already, but poor Vance we adopted off the street in November. He was SO sick! He was covered in bloody hives, had lost all his fur, and was vastly under weight. So we fed him and fixed him up and called him ours! :) It's worked out wonderfully since. But by Christmas, the boys (Shayde and Vance - we didn't have the puppy yet) were barely getting along - hissing at each other and stuff. Vance kept trying to rub against the tree branches (hard to do with a douglas fir!)and Shayde would hiss at him, and then they'd start tumbling together. They still play/fight from time to time even now, 2 years later, but the hissing has stopped. It's so funny to me becuase it's rare that they hurt each other.

Oh my, I don't think I can remember back that far - I got my first kitty when I was around 6 years of age.

THE BEST ONE I CAN REMEBER WAS LADY WE FOUND OUT SIDE OUR APP. RIGHT AFTER WE WERE FIRST MARRIED AND MY HUSBAND WAS COMEING HOME FROM THE SERVICE. WELL WE TOKE HER IN FLEAS AND ALL. WE GOT HER SPADE THE WEEK BEFORE CHIRSTMAS WELL WHY SHE WAS GONE WE PUT UP THE TREE. WE GOT HER THAT AFTERNOON AND WERE TOLD TO KEEP HER QUITE. WE BOTH WORKED NIGHTS SO WE LAYED DOWN TO REST AND WHEN GOT UP WE COULD NOT FIND LADY. WE LOOK EVERY WERE FOR HER AND COULD NOT FIND HER WE THOUGHT THAT SHE MUST OF GOTTEN OUT SOME HOW. WELL WE HEARD A LITTLE MEW FROM THE TREE AND SHE HAD CLIMBED UP IN THE TREE AND HAD GONE TO SLEEP. SHE HAD NOT MOVED ANY OF THE LIGHTS OR ANY THING. THAT WAS 36 YEARS AGO BUT EVERY TIME I BUT UP A TREE I THINK OF LADY WE HAD HER FOR 18 YEARS. JOANN
