Wanted to say Merry Christmas to all my dear friends here. I hope in my lifetime I get to meet you as I cherish you all. It was a year ago I lost my sweet Dusty and it was he who brought me here. Since then I have lost sweet Tiger and baby Ellie. I am still at shock over Ellie and had a pic blown up and hung it on the wall last night next to Tiger and Dusty's,I cried as she looked so special. In a few weeks 2 new babies will be coming to live with us and I know they will be so loved. Thanks again for being great friends!

What is everyone doing for the holidays? We are opening gifts with the kids tonight and then tomorrow going to church and my moms for dinner and gifts. We are bringing Scooby with so hope he behaves!!!LOL! Christmas day I think we are just going to stay here. I will be around all weekend as my mom lives about 10 blocks away! It is 20 below here so brr!!

Merry Christmas and hugs to you , your family and all your fur kids. Please say a prayer for all those that do not have a home and pray that they find a loving , warm family to take them in!

Merry Christmas, Chris and everyone! May your new year be furry and bright.

I'll be here w/my furkids tonight & Friday. Saturday I will have dinner w/friends. Sunday is my family Christmas. We exchanged names this year, so I only had to buy 1 family gift. :) That was easy! I have Monday off from work too. Nice long weekend. :)

Chris,

Wow, that is great! Oh well, I just sent you an email about a cat too. It was rejected from your AOL email and I resent it via iVillage, bit in case that goes to your old email as well, here is a copy of the message.

----------START--------

Hi. How are you doing these days? I have not returned to the iVillage cats board in a while now. I wish I could say exactly why, but it is still hard after all that has happened.

Anyway, I’ve news and a question…

The cat (I may have mentioned him on iVillage a couple of weeks into June) that I saw in June on, is orange and white. He was small the first time we saw him, and he ran like the devil at our site. I saw him on and off for the summer, always as he ran from me. I do not know what happened, but this fall he started to come a bit more. I began to put food out for him and water. He only came for about an hour or two a day, then would go. I decided to go out one time when he was here and he began to run, then he stopped and I called out to him and he turned around and came to me! He was chatty and sweet. After a few weeks he let me pet and rub him and he followed me all around the deck. If he was in the area and I call he comes. We named him Nova. I cannot imagine him being so friendly and a feral. But he is now badly matted (he has long fur) and burrs all over. Anyone who lets this happen to their cat does not deserve it. I tend to think he was abandoned young.

With the cold here I was worrying about him. Last night it was 15 below. Today we came home from the vets (Apollo was neutered today and Andromeda was spayed… she is staying at the vets till morning) and he was on the deck in the cup (Copycats old cup/bed) which is on the heated pad. I walked outside and called him to me, them picked him up and walked with him to our shop. He is inside where it is 70 degrees now. He is so lovable! Rolling on the ground at my feed, letting me pick at the mats. Licking my hand, kneading on my pants. Anyway, no way can we have a new cat. Nope. 6 is way to much right now. SO I was wondering if you would like a new cat, Nova, who is loving, sweet and in need of a home? I plan to take him to the vet in the morning for the gambit of tests and to see if some mats can be removed (some are bad they are tearing from the flash and leaving bald patches), nails trimmed and such. My idea is that you are about 850 miles from here (Fargo to Helena). I would b! e willing to drive ½ way one da

Please let me know. I need to locate a home and I thought I would try you first. I know you would love him. If you do decide to do it I just want 1 thing in return… You have to keep me up to date on his health, happiness and life in North Dakota. That’s it. Oh, keeping his name Nova would be cool, but not necessary of course.

Please let me know…

Your friend,

David
--------END--------

After reading your post I see that you likely cannot take Nova. It's okay. If anyone here is close enough to Helena, Montana to get a sweet orange and white longhair.... Nova will make someone a wonderful friend!

Merry Christmas to all as well!

Merry Christmas to you and all my wonderful friends here at Cats! This is a very special board and the friends I've made here I am eternally grateful to for helping me first with questions about my 3 older cats, and then especially for the care & friendship they all gave me when I rescued Misha and fought to bring her back to good health. You all made such a difference in my life and I don't know how I would have made it through the worry and concern without you! My dear Chris, you have been through so much losing so many furkids in such a short time. I am praying for a bright, happier 2005 for you, Scooby, and your two new furkitties!

Love & Hugs,

You are such a kind, loving person. We have had a couple of hard years losing our beloved pets so unexpectly. I know you will take care of and love the orange and white cat until the right home comes along. He trusts you. Donna
