found cat in blizzard!

Hi all,

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post about the stray kitty in the blizzard. She showed up on a snow bank at dinner time yesterday. Came in and ate and wanted to go right back out!! Unbelievable. We made her stay in overnight. A couple times when she cried at the door we let her out and she stayed for about 30 seconds and realized how much nicer "in" is! hehe. She'll be back out today because she is quite mean to my cat and can't be trusted to be left alone with her. We're in a studio so there's nowhere to sequester her except the bathroom and she's already done enough damage trying to get out of there! (we'll have to replace the door!) At least now I'm confident that she'll be fine - she made it through this, she can make it through anything.

Thanks!!

I'm glad she's ok. I have a spayed female cat, she was raised inside, then decided she didn't like many of my other kitties I've rescued over the years, so now Tiffy stays out in the woods 24/7, we see her once or twice a week when she comes home to eat. Then shes off again. She used to sleep with my youngest son, now she is almost feral. Its hard to believe a cat can change so much. She used to come inside when it was really cold and sleep on a pallet on top of the refrig., it was 17 degrees a few weeks ago, she refused to stay inside. She must have some warm spots next door or somewhere. We do miss her though. Even though Tiffy stays gone alot as long as I don't see her body in the highway I feel that she must be ok. May even have a second home. Maybe you can relax a little bit now knowing your kitty did ok. Donna

My visiting cat buddy has showed up since the snow, too. He eats a little of the food outside, then goes away. I have no idea whether he has a home.

I'm glad to hear that she came back.. I go through the same thing with my feral kitty Charlie.. Since I've been feeding her, she's been through tropical storms, hurricanes, snow storms. She disappears, but always comes back! where do they go?? :)
