Food question....

So we feed Amber Meow Mix regular dry food. We've been doing so for a number of years now. I've alternated with the Seafood middles one but that makes her smell. Well, apparently, so does the regular Meow Mix. Yes, I'm thinking too much again, but is there any food that won't make her stink? I realize that since she's an outdoor cat and hunts fairly regularly, she is gonna smell. But I believe the food she's fed regularly also has an effect on her odor. Ok, yes, I'm weird. Certian things are going to have to be taken care of before she moves in with me: odor (bath, food change, whatever), claws clipped, fleas/ear mites removal, vet checkup to include the flea/ear mite issue, etc. I really don't think she has fleas, but she does have ear mites. Every week I clean and medicate her ears (goes over so well too (sarcastic tone)), but it needs to be done on a regular basis and despite repeating this to my dad, it doesn't get done unless I'm there, so her ears are perputually bothering her. I have found that if I let her in and get her all relaxed, it's much, much easier to mess with her ears although I still get that "pissy" look from her when I do something she doesn't like - (putting meds in her ears for example). LOL Okay, I will quit rambling and will repeat my question: Are there foods that won't make cats stink?

hmmm. I feed Angel and Alixx Purina one and they don't smell. I also split a can of fancy feast twice a day between them. Angel just LOVES fancy feast. they throw up if they eat too fast tho. so I have cut back to a can a day instead of two between them.
so, in answer to your question: purina one works for me.

Hmm, my cats don't smell either, in fact I love to smell their fur, they just smell clean to me.
A Native American Grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt. The grandson said... "Grandfather, I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is a vengeful, violent, hateful one, the other wolf is a loving compassionate, caring one.
I think it might be that she hunts and eats her prey. My dog gets the same way when she eats certains things. As for the ear mites, that might be contributing to it too. My dad should be getting a card in the mail as a reminder for Amber's yearly vet visit sometime this month (Feb.). I usually take her and her ears will definitely be checked out.
