I've spent the evening cleaning my home, in preparation for a party tomorrow night. I dusted, vaccumed, cleaned counters, the whole 9 yards. So I hear the tell-tale signs of a vomiting cat. I'm thinking, noooo! I don't want to have to scrub the floor! I look around for the offender, and I can't find her. After a few minutes, Chalimar comes waltzing out of the laundry room, where the litterbox is located. Upon investigation, I found that she DID cough up a hairball...but she did it IN THE LITTERBOX! Now how is THAT for consideration? No scrubbing, just scooping. I had to hug her!

Indeed, you are lucky. What a good kitty! Like Cat said, I swear mine go running for a rug when they're about to barf.

Mine either run for a rug, or they look for my something that's really hard to clean: books, shoes, my comforter. One time, they even chose a fan. But this time, she choose the litterbox. That's one way to get me to scoop it in a timely manner.

I've had a theory that cats like to puke on something soft. I dunno why - they just do! I've seen cats start retching in the kitchen and immediately make their way to the living room carpet to actually puke.

Tasha has puked down over the back of our couch a couple of times. She likes to sleep up there, and I guess she doesn't bother to move when a hairball hits. Thank God it is actually just a futon, with a smooth fabric cover. A rough-fabric couch would be far more difficult to clean!

Bad Annie has been sleeping at the very top of the cat tree, and coughed a hairball over the side. That hits about as many different items as possible. Ick.

Such a wonderful conversation we're having. But I still can't believe Chalimar chose the litterbox. So watch...I'm coming home with all these people for this party. I bet we walk in the door and someone has puked somewhere quite visible.

Wow, what a good cat Chalimar is! I wish mine would do that, it seems as though anytime they do throw up they will run from the kitchen(laminate) to the carpeting or the rug in front of the sink!

Lucky you!
