Oh my gosh, they were in a hurry!
I haven't had scratch me in bed yet but I had an experience that was kind of the reverse last night. However, no one was hurt or scratched I just scared the heck out of Zachary.
Zach is a big Momma's boy and he sleeps snuggled at my feet every night. Well a couple of weeks ago I injured my knee and am in rehab for it. It's still real swollen and I can't straighten it out without pain. This is very annoying as I'm a big stretcher in bed(how Zach hangs in there at night with me I dont' know as I move alot). Gabe refused a long time ago and will come to snuggle but then off he goes. Anyway I woke up in excruciating pain and literally cried out at the same time. I must of stretched my leg out in my sleep or something but I scared the heck out of Zach and he just flew off the bed. I felt so bad I hobbled downstairs to find him and apologize! Lots of snuggles and he came right back to bed with me. He is such a forgiving cat and never holds a grudge!
These bedtime accidents can be kind of unnerving for all involved! :)
Take care of your wounds!

Oh OUCH!
Owie! Those have to hurt!
I've been used as a "landing" pad once. Bad Annie likes to chase moving lights, particularly headlights. One night last year, she was apparently chasing lights across the headboard of the bed as I slept. For whatever reason, she suddenly launched herself off the headboard and landed on my stomach. Talk about a rude awakening! It was a good thing she kept on running. She wouldn't have liked me to much, had I caught her. She'd have been forced to lay in bed in my arms, with the covers over her little body, until she calmed down. She hates being confined when she's chasing lights.
