Stitch came back!!!!!!
| Sun, 05-29-2005 - 11:34am |
This morning we had wicked thunderstorm when I woke up. I looked outside and guess who was curled up under the patio overhang!!! He came in and ate for like 30 minutes straight, then of course needed LOTS of love and lap time. He seems to be in good health and unhurt, although one eye was just a little goopy - he is current on all vaccinations, so I will just keep an eye on it for now.
Spooky was so happy to see him, ran right up and started sniffing him all over. They are both sacked out on the kitty condo now.
Thanks everyone for all the support and prayers, and for giving me hope that he would come back. I would have never thought he'd come back after nearly a week. I guess I've got some flyers to take down now!

How awesome, I'm so happy for you that you're furbaby found his way home. Now, whether they like it or not for their safety I would suggest turning them into indoor only kitties to avoid a repeat performance! They will get used to it.
After I adopted my little boys they were never allowed outdoors. They truly don't ever act like they want to go out as I think they are so grateful to be indoors. They watch their birdies, squirrels and chipmunks through the picture window and sliding glass doors. I do a head count every morning before leaving for work and every night before retiring. This way I know everyone is present and accounted for. Gabriel has been known to slip down into the basement when I'm doing laundry and Zach once got shut in the pantry and numerous times in the bathrooms(he shuts the door on himself) so we have doorstops on the bathroom doors. Silly kitty!
Keep an eye on his eye and don't hestitate to take him to the vet if it doesn't clear up quickly.
Take care, Lynn
