Hi there all. Quick intro, my name is Rose I'm a mom of 1 (soon to be 2) and i have a litter box trained house rabbit and a tame cockatiel that i handraised myself. Ok, so my hubby called me from work and his co-worker found a kitten on the way in this morning..........guess whos bringing it home? My animal softy husband of course! not that i mind I LOVE cats and all animals if I'm being honest. So heres my question, will it be difficult to get the cat to behave well with my bunny and bird? My guess is because its a kitten it will grow up learning to interact well with them but any advice would be great. Be blunt, will they have to take turns with "out time"? will it only be an issue with the bird? will the kitty see my bunny as another cat? anyone with any expierience with something like this? Thanks in advance!

Would you leave the cat alone with the bunny or bird?? If it is a kitten you may beable to train it to get along

well I am a stay at home mom, so there wouldn't really be a time they would be left alone, however if i ever did leave the house the bun and the bird would both be put in thier cages.

It REALLY depends on how much the kitten's mother taught it about hunting, about prey and how fixated Mama was on birds.

First and foremost, your cockatiel must NEVER have contact with your cat; cats have naturally occurring "good" (for cats) bacteria in their saliva that is deadly to birds.
